I just came back from my first trip to Texas after visiting relatives in Midland and was appalled by almost everything. All the rest stops, restaurants, and parks were completely filthy. A friend and I are going from Austin to Balmorhea (Town 2.5 hours south of Midland/Odessa) to work for the summer. Although the drive is 7 hours long, we will still have a lot of time to kill.
